Josefina's Santa Fe Market Adventure integrates Spanish and English into a simple game mechanic, bringing language learning into the core of the gameplay.
I developed Josefina with the good people at Gamelab, NYC, for our client, American Girl. My role comprised all of the coding and some of the UI and game design.
Sellers list their wares in Spanish, while buyers ask for goods in English. Toggling between the languages while managing resources and funds offers an engaging way to practice another language.
